I'm happiest when I am creating
What makes you happiest? Everyone has a different answer to that question. It is such an intimate query ~ because the answer reveals a lot about who you are and what you value. Personally, when I really think about when I am the happiest ~ it is when I am alone, working on some type of art project. Whether it be editing photos or film, writing a story I've had in my mind, designing a piece of furniture or just putting together an outfit, time dissolves and I am completely focused and my world is happy while I am attempting to create something beautiful!

inspiration strikes!
This morning when I was scrolling down my home page on facebook, I came across this image of Madonna. The color and style caught my eye and interest. So I decided to take this inspiration and create my own askew image! I have also been very excited to be back in the saddle again working on my novel ~ I can suffer long bouts of writers block, but when the lull passes and words come easily and joyfully I am one happy camper! Inspiration is all abound!! xox

I ❤ Rock n' Roll
From as far back as I can remember, I have been fascinated by rock n' rollers.
I loved everything about it ~ the music, the fashion, the partying, the jet-setting lifestyle, and especially the wildness and the freedom it represented. And as I have gotten older ~ I must say, it hasn't lost one ounce of it's appeal! XO

Poke it in the eye!
Insecurity ~ a human trait that has evolved from over tens of thousands of years of subordination, enslavement and regimes built upon fear. It's a killer of confidence and a zapper of energy when it rears it's ugly head. Not one of us is immune to it, so there is no sense denying it's existence. Better to try to understand it ~ and when it's not looking ~ hit it with something hard!

Little Lady Fauntleroy
I was at the bank yesterday and the lady next to me in line said "I like your outfit, it's like Little Lord Fauntleroy!" Well, I had heard of this book, but didn't know the plot or how my get-up related to it. But after just a few minutes of Googling ~ low and behold, there is a most definite influence of the little lord going on here! As it turns out, the The Fauntleroy suit, so well-described by Burnett and realized in Reginald Birch's detailed pen-and-ink drawings, created a fad for formal dress for American middle-class children of the late 1800's: "What the Earl saw was a graceful, childish figure in a black velvet suit, with a lace collar, and with lovelocks waving about the handsome, manly little face, whose eyes met his with a look of innocent good-fellowship." (Little Lord Fauntleroy) So, if I may, I present to you my un-intentional Little Lord Fauntleroy suit!
