the COOLEST!!

One of the things I love about hanging out with my best friends, is that we bring out the best in each other. We have the freedom to totally be ourselves when we are all together and we make each other just a little bit cooler! This summer my BFF's have all been split up, Ashlee went to Oregon, Kim went to Seattle and Ingie went to St. Petersberg. It sure isn't the same around here without them!

Connections

Whenever I decide to flip on the TV by myself, I tend to gravitate toward the science and discovery channels with the shows about the universe and what today's scientists are discovering. I am fascinated by the idea of an interconnectivity amongst all living things.  Sometimes I try to visualize these light waves of energy that connect us all and try to send messages across them to see who is listening!

Its crazy stuff to think about really, why we are here and the fact that we have been here as long as we have and we still have not figured it out. And even if someone had, or has ~ getting anyone to believe it or all agree upon it is kind of hopeless. Religions have been trying that since the dawn of man and we still have no answers. Maybe we just need to be satisfied that we are here and there is no WHY!

Everything about glamour appeals to me.  To live a glamourous life to me, is about being true to yourself, appreciating beauty, and finding your own exquisite style that makes you shine from the inside out!

Staying home and playing dress-up is still one of my favorite past-times! I love to take my time and put together outfits, fix my hair and make-up in unique ways and rummage through my accessories for the finishing touch. It is a part of my childhood that has always stayed with me!  XOXO

Today is that kind of day ~ a sunny Sunday in which I plan to lay around and do a lot of nothing! Which happens to be one of my favorite things to do!

. . . . or are they in color? To tell you the truth I never remember if I am dreaming in black and white or color, it doesn't seem to come into play or even register in my memory after - because it is not what I see that affects me in my dreams . . . . . . . it's what I FEEL!

From here to eternity

There are events in all of our lives that remind us how finite and fleeting life can be. And they serve as a reminder that we should all be living the life we secretly dream of TODAY, because we are not always going to have tomorrow.

For me, the idea of heaven and hell has continuously evolved over the years. 
When I was a little girl in sunday-school, I imagined them as the places that were described in the bible. When I went to college and began to study other religions and theories about the after-life, my ideas of what heaven and hell might be like changed and expanded again. Now I am at the point where I believe heaven and hell are not places at all, rather states of being, metaphors to describe feelings.

. . . it's the space from which we look

It seems to me that we all look at the same things differently. Beauty is born in our hearts, but then it travels through all of our unique experiences (memories) that frame our reality and color that upon which we gaze. So it is only logical that we must agree to disagree on what in fact we actually see?!

People are strange

. . . myself included! I have to admit, I have strange thoughts, weird tastes, bizarre tendencies, but I like to think that is precisely what makes me so interesting?!
