Lavender fields forever

Woke up feeling a little brighter today! The air feels fresher, my coffee tasted better, in fact my whole disposition has improved. What a difference a day can make! xo :)  After all, life is too short to stay down for long!

Beating the Blues

Somedays I forget who I am. I just get lost in depression and things seem hopeless. I try to reach out for help, but there seems to be no one there. And I am faced with the sad reality that I am really on my own in this vast universe. But a day or two might pass and things seem better. The haze of gloom is lifted and I am reminded that things will not always be this way, tomorrow is another day.

★ Lucky Star ★

The internet is such an amazing creation ~ linking all of us to this great big world! While a surf'n ~ I came across this Japanese series called Lucky Star with it's eccentric blue haired heroine Konata! I instantly fell for her sassy spirit and mischievous character! So naturally when I spotted this blue wig in downtown LA ~ I had to have it! I  look forward to visiting Japan one day  ~ but until then, the internet brings it a whole lot closer !

the days of wine and roses

Relationships go through so many phases. The beginning ~ both people so giddy with newness and excitement, the dance of romance, working through problems, break-ups, fights, reconciliations and if you make it through all that and still really care about each other, well ~ that is what I call the days of wine and roses!

. . . then other people will know they are suppose to!

All Hallows Eve

This year, inspired by some of Katy Perry's outrageously girlish costumes ~ I whipped up this My Little Pony ~ unicorn costume! I just love the lavender plush with the rainbow fur mane and tail! Happy Halloween my blogger friends! xo

trick or treating

Halloween has always been my second favorite holiday (Christmas will always be first)!  Mainly because I love any excuse to dress up in costume! Ever since I was a kid, I have been making my own costumes. Once in a great while I'll pick-up a costume in a bag ~ but I always have to add to it, to give it some authenticity and originality! Here are a few halloween costumes from the years past, and if you come back in a couple days ~ I'll have photos of this year's surprise!

6 impossible things before breakfast

Sometimes it's good to reflect on what you learned today (or yesterday). Because with each passing day you are a little bit different. Something you experienced yesterday changed you in some way ~ big or small. Somedays I'll find I learned 10 new things before the clock has even struck 10AM! I find it's a cheap and easy way to feel better about yourself. Think back on some stupid stuff you did a few years back and revel in the fact that you're way too smart to do THAT again!

My Religion

Over the years I have had a myriad of religious beliefs on my way to discovering what I believe in my heart to be true. It has taken a lifetime of experience, schooling, reading and questioning to get to the place I am and I am quite certain my thoughts will continue to evolve as I do. But as of now, my religion is simple.
