María de los Ángeles Félix Güereña, better known as María Félix the Mexican screen legend. She makes the divas of today look like amateurs. Songs were written about her, famous artists painted her, couture houses and renown jewelers designed extravagant creations just for her. She had a trademark style like no other ~ her long cigarettes, cowboy hats, cat eye liner and her beloved Cartier alligator jewelry. According to Cartier legend, María brought her pet crocodiles into the Cartier Boutique in Paris and requested a necklace designed to resemble them! The baby crocs sat on the jeweler’s workbench and gave inspiration to what is now famously known as the Cartier Crocodile Necklace. What a woman!
