When someone upsets you, you can chose to go on the defense and construct a wall to block out the emotional situation or, you can choose to be like a jellyfish ~ free-floating. You allow the emotional situation to surround you. You simply accept what the other person says, all the while taking in the full surroundings, including the temperature of the water or the spirit that the words are said in.
|You aren’t mortally wounded by what the other person says or does, it passes right through you. However you are not in denial either, you have clarity, presence of mind and focus. This is what it means to be an emotional jellyfish.|
